I was absolutely chuffed to try the organic pulled pork at a local spot – it was divine! Plus, the location was spot on for hitting the hills, and the sturdy bed left me catching zs like a log.
Unfortunately, the room we got was tiny and outdated. Plus, contacting them about a missed charger was a right faff – took a week to chat and we had to drive back just to grab it.

I attended an event during my stay that was organized perfectly and created a lively atmosphere. The staff made me feel welcome as soon as I arrived. I had breakfast, which was served with care and tasted good. I appreciated the warm bar setting. It was nice to have a cozy place to relax after a long day.
I faced issues with check-in times and had trouble finding someone to assist me. The room could use some maintenance as the shower lacked pressure, making it difficult to enjoy. There could be more food options available in the evening.

Incredible Staff and Amazing Food!
We enjoyed a fantastic 5-night stay, where the staff truly went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. the friendly gentleman who welcomed us was a highlight! The food was exceptionally fresh, with the steak cooked perfectly. The location was convenient, just a stone's throw from the local village and a short drive to stunning beaches. Our dog was also treated like royalty, which made our trip even more special.

Lovely room with an en suite, views of the fells, great location for accessing Wasdale
Bathroom leak issues during my stay!!! The shower could use a thorough cleaning to remove black mould!!! An update is needed for the room's décor, as it looked rather old and tired!!!

definitely coming here again
The staff were super friendly and helpful, always ready to chat. The double room was cozy with a flat-screen TV, private bathroom, and complimentary toiletries. Food was fantastic, especially the steak, and there’s a nice outdoor area for hanging out. Plus, it’s just a short drive to shops and beautiful beaches!

The Double Room offered a cozy atmosphere, perfect for a couple wanting a getaway. Spacious enough for comfort, with a warm feel despite a few maintenance quirks.
The green fire escape light in the middle of the ceiling was a constant annoyance through the night. We experienced a scare from the smoke alarm due to someone smoking in another room. it made for a chaotic evening. The room wasn't cleaned during our entire five-night stay, necessitating requests for toilet roll and requiring us to empty our own bin. a few maintenance items need addressing, the toilet wobbles, the windows could use a clean, and we had to master the hot shower’s fine tuning, as it could turn scalding quickly.

Amazing staff and great food!
Had a fab 5-night stay! The staff were super friendly and helped us every day. Shoutout to the guy who was always there, made us feel so welcome! The steak was perfectly cooked too, so fresh. Only thing is the parking was a bit tight. But honestly, we loved it here!

Incredible hospitality from the staff made our stay memorable, especially the gentleman who greeted us daily—his warmth and attentiveness were unmatched. The on-site pub offered a variety of drinks and a cozy atmosphere. While the location is isolated, it provides quick access to local shops and stunning beaches. the room cleanliness fell short, and the lack of breakfast options was disappointing, especially since it was advertised as available.

The room offered stunning views of the fells and came with an en suite, which added a nice touch to my stay. The location facilitated easy access to Wasdale and nearby beaches, while the village of Gosforth had welcoming pubs and cafes, enhancing the experience. the kitchen's limited options for sweet products could be improved, and the isolation might not suit everyone. I encountered a long wait for service during peak hours.

The garden boasts a charming aesthetic, ideal for a leisurely stroll and some fresh air. The double room's private bathroom features convenient amenities, enhancing comfort during the stay.
Ordering a rib-eye steak for £25 led to disappointment with its medium-rare doneness and minimal sides, feeling like a letdown after expectations. The shower head, surprisingly held up by a teaspoon, lacked the steady pressure desired, and out of five rooms, one was missing towels altogether. The bar was unexpectedly out of stock for several drinks, and the intended warmth from the log burners fell flat without logs. the restaurant was closed, which was frustrating considering we had pre-booked, leaving us searching for breakfast elsewhere without success.
